 Another Falzon Group member company heavily involved in
rendering services to the marine industry is the aforementioned
Waste Oils Company Limited which, besides its professional
tank-cleaning services, also offers an efficient collection
service for waste oils, bilge water and ballast from all sectors
of the marine industry, for eventual recycling at its state of
the art facility in Malta.
This service is a pioneer project not
only for the Group but also for Malta, and is the result of the
increasing awareness of the dangers of pollution of the marine
environment on both a local and international level. The
long-awaited service offered by this Falzon Group member company
has also played an important role in establishing Malta as a
one-stop shop for marine services, a veritable maritime hub at
the crossroads of the Mediterranean Sea.
 The waste oil collection service is effected in the same manner as the bunkering service – by barge and/or road tanker. The
provision of these two services by one Group of companies is
naturally very convenient, since a prospective client need only have one point of contact that will look after all the
arrangements for the delivery of the requisite bunkers to as
well as for the collection of the waste oil from the client
vessel. Both operations are then co-ordinated in such manner as
to render to client vessel an efficient and professional service
in the shortest time possible, an important consideration for
all vessels but especially so for those calling at Malta solely
to receive bunkers and/or to discharge their waste oils.

to the local land-based industry, and the company is heavily
